POLICIES

Gymoggle is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any part of the service. This is because Gymoggle streams live camera video between matched strangers, which is not appropriate for minors.

During onboarding you must confirm that you are 18 or older. We record the date and time of that confirmation as a good-faith record. It is a self-declaration, not verified proof of age — providing a false confirmation is a breach of these Terms and will result in your account being closed. If we learn or reasonably believe that an account holder is under 18, we will suspend and delete the account.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You can browse parts of Gymoggle — the lobby, leaderboards, the shop — without an account. Duelling, buying, and anything that changes your record requires you to sign up.

You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. If you use Google, you authorise Google to share your name, email address and profile picture with us for the purpose of creating and identifying your account.

You pick a username during onboarding; if it is taken we append a number. Usernames, gym names and avatars are public (see 'Profiles, friends & gyms'). One account per person — alt accounts used to farm rank, Plates, or evade a ban will be removed.

While you are signed out, a preview of your cosmetics loadout is kept in your own browser only. Signing in makes your account on our server the source of truth and discards that preview.

Gymoggle is in active development. Features, exercises, scoring, the shop, and the Plates economy may change, be reset, or be withdrawn while the service is in preview, and we may run test or bot opponents to exercise matchmaking. We will avoid resets where we reasonably can and will announce them in advance where we can't.

Real-money purchases are not live yet. Prices shown next to Plate bundles and the Pro plan are indicative of what they will cost; no payment is taken, no card details are collected, and no charge is made until real payments are switched on and you separately agree to a purchase.

Gymoggle is a live 1v1 fitness app. When you enter a duel your camera is streamed to your opponent for the length of the round so reps can be counted and verified. Body-position (pose) data is derived from that video to count your reps.

The video connection is peer-to-peer between your device and your opponent's, set up through our servers. Because it is peer-to-peer, your device and your opponent's device exchange network addresses (including your IP address) in order to connect. Where a direct connection is not possible we may route the stream through a relay server instead. This is explained in more detail in the Privacy Policy.

You must appear appropriately clothed and in a safe, private environment. You consent to being viewed live by your matched opponent while duelling. Separate, specific consent for camera and pose processing is set out in the Camera & Biometrics tab and must be given before you can duel.

You must not stream anyone else — bystanders, children, or people who have not consented — through your camera.

You can be matched through quick duels, by challenging a friend, or by opening a duel link or room code. Duel invitations expire after a few minutes; anyone who has your room code can attempt to join that room, so treat codes as semi-public.

Rep counting runs on your device, but the result is applied by our server: your PWR (the skill rating shown on your profile), win/loss record, per-exercise best, streak, and any Plates reward are calculated server-side. Your browser cannot write them directly. If a client and the server disagree, the server is authoritative.

Rep detection is automatic and imperfect. Lighting, camera angle, clothing, and body position all affect it. A miscount is not by itself a breach of these Terms by either player, but deliberately exploiting one is.

If you leave, disconnect, or lose your camera mid-duel, the round may still be scored against you. We may void a result, reverse a PWR change, or claw back Plates where a match was affected by cheating, a bug, or a technical fault.

Don't cheat, script, bot, or otherwise fake reps or scores. Don't harass, threaten, or expose others to explicit, hateful, or illegal content on camera or in chat.

Don't record, screenshot, redistribute, or publish another player's video or likeness without their permission.

Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the service, and don't probe or exploit bugs in the scoring, ranking, or currency systems. Report vulnerabilities to teamgymoggle@gmail.com instead.

After a duel you can report your opponent — for faking reps, an off or blocked camera, doing the wrong exercise, harassment, inappropriate content, or anything else. You can add a short description, which we read.

A report records who filed it, who it was about, the room it happened in, and what you wrote. Reports are stored and reviewed by us; you cannot see or edit a report once it is filed, and you can only report a given match once.

Report honestly. Filing reports you know to be false, or coordinating reports to punish an opponent, is itself a breach of these Terms and is actioned the same way as any other abuse.

Your username, avatar, country and flag, tier, PWR, win/loss record, equipped cosmetics, and gym are shown publicly — on leaderboards, in duels, and on your profile page, which anyone can view. Don't put anything in your username, gym name, or avatar that you don't want to be public, and don't use your real address, phone number, or anyone else's identity.

Friend requests are visible to the person you send them to. Accepting a friendship lets you challenge each other directly and see each other in your friends list.

Gyms are player-run groups joined with a code. Whoever creates a gym owns it and approves or removes members; anyone with the code can request to join, so share codes carefully. Gym names and crests are public and subject to the same content rules as usernames. We may rename or remove a gym that breaches those rules, and may transfer or delete an abandoned one.

Tournaments are player-created brackets. An entry fee, if the creator sets one, is paid in Plates by every team that enters and is pooled; the pool is awarded to the winning team when the tournament is finalised. Entry fees are not refundable once you have joined, including if a tournament is abandoned, never finalised, or does not fill.

Tournaments are skill-based competitions settled by rep counts, not games of chance. Entry fees and prizes are paid only in Plates, which have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or converted into money or anything outside Gymoggle. Gymoggle is not a gambling service and does not offer real-money prizes.

The creator of a tournament finalises it and declares the winning team. Do not create tournaments you do not intend to run. We may void a tournament, reverse a payout, or remove Plates where a bracket was rigged, abandoned to trap entry fees, or otherwise abused.

You keep ownership of what you upload (avatars, nicknames, gym names). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and transmit that content solely to operate Gymoggle — for example showing your avatar on a leaderboard.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or privacy rights.

We can remove content that breaches these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Copyright complaints: see the Contact tab.

We only use clips of your duels in our marketing if you have specifically agreed to it. That agreement is a separate, optional choice — you make it during sign-up, on its own screen that explains what it covers, and you can turn it on or off at any time from your profile. It is never a condition of using Gymoggle, and declining changes nothing about how you duel, rank, or play.

If you have agreed, you grant Gymoggle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to capture, record, edit, reproduce, and publish match content for the purpose of promoting and marketing Gymoggle. That includes clips and screenshots of a duel, the audio from it, your username, avatar, gym, cosmetics, rank, score, and match result. We may publish it on our own site and app and on third-party platforms — for example TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Discord, and app-store listings — and may edit, caption, crop, or set it to music.

A duel has two people in it, so a clip is only ever published when both players have given this permission. If your opponent has not agreed, the clip is not used — whatever you chose. The same protection applies to you in their matches.

You will not be paid for this, and no separate release form will be sought. You confirm you have the right to grant this licence, and that anything visible or audible on your camera is yours to license — which is another reason not to duel with other people, personal information, or copyrighted material in frame.

You can withdraw at any time by switching the setting off in your profile, or by emailing teamgymoggle@gmail.com. We stop using new material immediately, and will take down already-published material featuring you on request. Withdrawal does not undo publication that already happened, and we may keep material published while your permission was in force unless you ask us to remove it.

Plates are a virtual, in-app currency. Cosmetics, titles and similar items are digital goods. They have no real-world cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not a stored-value or payment instrument. They are licensed to you — not sold — for personal use inside Gymoggle. That licence is transferable to another Gymoggle account by selling the item on the in-app market described below, and nowhere else.

You earn Plates by winning duels, by finishing a duel you lost, by claiming the daily bonus (once per day, by our server's date, at a higher rate for Pro members), and by winning tournaments. Plates also move between players through tournament prize pools and market sales. They cannot be cashed out, transferred outside Gymoggle, or converted into money or anything of real-world value.

We may add, remove, re-price, or change items, packs, pack odds, and market rules at any time, and may adjust earn rates and the daily bonus. Balances and items may be lost if your account is terminated for breaking these Terms. If we discontinue the service, see 'Changes to the service' below.

A pack contains a randomised selection of cosmetic items. Packs can be bought only with Plates you have earned inside Gymoggle. There is no way to buy a pack, or its contents, with money — and no way to turn what comes out of one back into money. The chance of each rarity is published on the pack itself before you open it, and those published odds are the odds our server rolls against.

Because pack contents are random you may receive an item you already own. Duplicate copies are kept; they are not refunded, exchanged, or compensated. Opening a pack is final.

Not every item can be sold. Whether an item may be listed on the market is a property of that item, shown in your locker, and most items cannot be. We decide which items are tradable and may change that for any item at any time.

Gymoggle does not offer loot boxes or randomised rewards for real money, and no purchase of any kind is required to obtain any item. Tournament entry fees are paid in Plates and settled on skill, never on chance.

On the market you set your own asking price in Plates. Listing an item removes that copy from your locker until it sells or you take it down, so it cannot be equipped or listed twice while it is up. A percentage fee, shown to you before you list, is deducted from the sale and destroyed. A completed sale is final: we do not reverse, unwind, or compensate a purchase you chose to make, including one you later regret.

The market is for playing Gymoggle, not for making money. It is a serious breach of these Terms to buy or sell Plates, items, or accounts for money or anything of value outside Gymoggle; to advertise or broker such deals; or to use additional accounts to funnel Plates or items to a main account. We may void the sales involved, remove the items and Plates, and permanently ban every account concerned.

Starter items granted at sign-up can never be listed or sold.

Pro is a paid plan that grants cosmetic perks, a larger daily Plates bonus, and a discount on Plates prices including packs. It grants no competitive advantage: it does not change rep counting, scoring, or matchmaking, and it does not improve pack odds.

Pro is not yet chargeable — see 'Preview release'. When billing goes live, Pro will be a recurring subscription billed monthly until cancelled, renewing automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will tell you the price, billing interval, and how to cancel before you subscribe, and we will send renewal reminders where the law requires them.

You will be able to cancel at any time from your account settings, or through the app store you purchased from, in as few steps as it took to subscribe. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not retroactively refund the current period. See the Refunds tab for your statutory rights.

Gymoggle is not a medical device, a healthcare service, or a substitute for professional fitness instruction. Rep counts, form feedback, and scores are estimates generated automatically and may be wrong.

Physical exercise carries an inherent risk of serious injury or death. You voluntarily assume that risk. Consult a physician before starting any new physical activity, especially if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.

You are responsible for your own environment: clear space, stable footing, adequate hydration, and appropriate equipment. Competing against another player may tempt you to exceed your limits — do not.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gymoggle is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that rep detection will be accurate.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gymoggle and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or personal injury arising from your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You agree to indemnify and hold Gymoggle harmless from any claim, loss, or demand (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable and immediately where a violation is severe (for example, streaming illegal content).

On termination, your licence to use Plates and virtual items ends, and any Plates, items, PWR, streaks and tournament entries are forfeited. Gyms you own may be transferred or deleted.

Deleting your account removes your profile and gameplay record as described in the Privacy Policy. Reports filed about you, and the minimum record needed to enforce a ban, are kept — otherwise a ban could be undone by deleting and re-registering. Sections on virtual items, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Gymoggle. If we permanently discontinue the service or a paid feature, we will give reasonable advance notice and, where required by law, refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email where we have your address, at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms; if you don't agree, delete your account.

Gymoggle is operated from the United Arab Emirates, and these Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE. This does not remove any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence — consumers in the EEA and UK keep the protections of their home country and may bring proceedings there, and may complain to their own data-protection authority.
